JOHN YOUNG OBITUARY John Young February 10, 1937 - April 23, 2023 Manhattan, KS - John Raymond Young, age 86, of Manhattan, KS, died peacefully on April 23, 2023, at Foundation Park at Colbert Hills in Manhattan. He was born February 10, 1937, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Floyd and Goldie (Shupe) Young. On July 2, 1960, he married Bethene "Betsy" Burnham. In 1964, John and Betsy moved to Manhattan. Betsy preceded him in death on June 23, 2021. John was a land surveyor and Vice President of Schwab-Eaton, a consulting engineering firm, in Manhattan, from 1963 until his retirement in 2003.
