News (KAKE) - The Kansas, Kansas State, and Wichita State women will all be playing postseason basketball. The Shockers will be appearing in the postseason for the first time since 2015. The Shockers received an at-large bid to the 2023 WNIT and will make the short trip to Manhattan to face Kansas State in the first round on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT. The Wildcats last played in the WNIT in 2018. The Jayhawks will be playing the Western Kentucky University Lady Toppers at 5 p.m. on Friday. This will be the sixth time that KU competes in the WNIT and the first since 2011 when the Jayhawks defeated Wichita State before falling to Duquesne in the second round.
